Residential Interiors -Project update

Happy New Year!
I hope that you crossed over the new year well. We started working on the Interiors of this residence in May 2020, two months after Covid 19 made the headlines in Kenya. We needed to regroup as a team and find the best way to move forward as the client was all systems go. An Interior design project is so vast. In terms of planning, logistics, acquisition, labor force, and finances. Having a good team on board is very important.
Here are a few before and after photos of the spaces we worked on. Enjoy!

The Interior designer does the following: design, source materials, fixtures, furniture, accessories, and works together with different people to supervise the implementation of each scope of works.

The designer also works hand in hand with the client to make decisions, shopping, sourcing, follow-ups on delivery of some goods, and supervision.

While there may be a contactor on-site, interiors are a detailed area of specialization that needs its manager. The contractor on site is very crucial as he oversees his team on-site.

It’s à critical scope of the whole build poor-quality interiors can either make or break the entire aesthetic of the project if not implemented well. It’s that serious.
